SPACE Studios is a Singapore based womens streetwear label established in 2016.
The brand’s design philosophy is contemporary streets, concerting hints of feminism yet do not look to overstate nor waive their belief. Taking cues from traditional Asian ethnic art into the modern day, founders incorperate Asian centric aesthetics to create garments; their collections evoke a sense of authenticity that ties strongly with their followers.

With high ceilings, the space was stripped of anything ornate to show off the dimensions in their purest form. Playing on depth and height, display fixtures are connected to each other and to the wall or suspended from the ceiling. With the same design language, lighting fixtures of different sizes are arranged randomly at various heights. The inconsistent height and length of the fixtures produce a playful lattice within the store.
The project’s formal and structured language is based on two contrasting materials:metallic tubing and fabric. The tubes provide a set structure for product display
whilst the fabrics remnants create volume, generating a unique and studio like
atmosphere.
The store is predominantly white - clean white walls and white tile grid-like floor , only desaturated colours as complements, lightwashed oak is used for workshop shelvings and loose furnitures. The fabric and wood add texture and warmth whereas the concrete stairs and green leafy plants add a raw and natural look to the shop.
EXPERIENCING SPACE STUDIO
SPACE Studios aspires to grow alongside with its followers; sharing ideas and experiences both ways. Hence, activities from workshops to events to build a brand experience will be carried out from time to time.

The loft space located at the second floor provides a space for public workshops / work area for the founders. Similar to the retail design, open wood shelvings and white metalic tubes are used as supports attached to the wall.
The space is defined by a simple and clear layout which allows products to be displayed in an orderly and attractive fashion. The neutral interior with its window display and shopfloor island is the perefect backdrop to highlight the showcase of ever-changing trends, styles and products.
The shop consists of two levels: level 1 forms the main retail area with a small living space whereas level 2 is a loft space that functions as a public workshop area and studio space for the in-house designers.
