// Y I Y I N T A Y

This project calls for musuem + cafe designed based on the philosophies and beliefs of a chosen architect.
Born in Mexico, Luis Barragan was a formally trained engineer and self trained architect. He is known for his emphasis on color, light, shadow, form and texture.
Modernism is characterised by clean lines, earth tones and minimal colour. While Luis' style was minimal in form, his strong use of colours and textures made his work unique, distinctive and true to his cultural heritage. He was known for his incredibly creative use of light, often incorporating colour to amplify and reflect natural light.

1
COLOURS
Most of the interior walls are white.
Special areas of the building are painted with intense colours such as
pink, yellow or orange.
2
LIGHT & SUN
Sun movements are carefully considered as they cast shadows or
allow direct beam through openings.
3
THE OUTDOOR SPACE
green space, terraces, fountains and many other outdoor elements had become a
major contribution to a more “natural” approach to architecture.
